At Morgan Lou, the choice of packaging was decisive. It was out of the question for Morgane to offer plastic packaging, or even cardboard that could not be reused... After several searches, click, the furoshiki but it is of course ! What is Furoshiki ? It is a traditional Japanese art that consists of wrapping a gift, food or any other object with a knotted fabric to transport it protected and in complete safety. The choice of eco-responsible packaging was essential ! The packaging concept at Morgan Lou : A wooden box with drawer system, in which we find our jewel nestled in a fabric that protects it during the trip. On which is affixed a wax seal of the Morgan Lou brand. The whole surrounded by a beautiful cotton fabric tied in furoshiki. The wooden box can be used to transport jewellery, soap for a weekend or any other small fragile object. The idea is to be able to reuse all of the packaging. The knotted fabric in furoshiki can be used to put lavender in it like our grandmothers... And presto, in the cupboards or the linens! Use your imagination and above all think about the planet !

Morgan Lou also offers to create your jewelry or small goldsmith pieces with you ! How should we proceed ? It's simple, you contact us via our form to explain your project. We then establish an appointment in person or in video to discuss your desires, your story, the concept you want to develop so that your room looks like you. You are an integral part of the project ! Then, Morgane begins graphic research based on your ideas. You will discuss to define the design that suits you. Depending on the projects, she will offer you possible models / materials / stones to make your choice. Once the design and the materials have been decided on, the creation begins... The little extra is that it is now possible to come to the workshop by appointment to remove your jewel !

Le jeu des différences, pas toujours évident … Les confusions sont nombreuses, et c’est bien normal ! Avec toutes ces informations, les jeux marketings à gogo, et autres tromperies d’internet, difficile de comprendre réellement les différences entre tout ça et encore plus de faire un choix. Tentons d’éclaircir un peu tout ça … Commençons par la différence entre le plaqué or & le doré : Lorsqu’on parle d’un bijou doré c’est qu’il a subit un traitement de surface, plus précisément une couche d’or d’1 micron. Le placage d’or au même titre que la dorure peut se faire sur toutes les matières ( laiton / bronze / argent … bois ! ). La différence est qu’un placage or c’est une couche d’or de 3 microns sur la dite matière. La plupart du temps , le placage est fait sur des bijoux en laiton ou en bronze, plus simple pour que le placage tienne et surtout ce sont des matières bien moins onéreuses . Et le vermeil dans tous ça ? Eh bien, le vermeil c’est de l’argent plaqué de 5 microns d’or. Les bijoux vermeil sont donc composé essentiellement de métaux précieux. Il est d’ailleurs soumis à des réglementations douanières au même titre que l’argent et que l’or. En France, un bijoux en vermeil comporte un poinçon "V". Voilà, en espérant vous avoir un peu éclairé !
